The challenge

Global Supplies Solutions runs three distinct businesses under one name: industrial supply, a surplus marketplace, and spare parts for heavy transport. Each speaks to a different buyer — a plant maintenance lead, a company liquidating inventory, a fleet manager — and all three were arriving at the same undifferentiated front door, then being sorted by hand over the phone.

The solution

We built a site that separates the three lines and explains each on its own terms, while funnelling every enquiry into a single quoting channel. The structure anticipates the questions a technical buyer asks before making contact — certifications, response times, shipping coverage — so the first conversation starts further along.

Our approach

The organising decision was to treat the three lines as three audiences rather than three product catalogues. That set the information architecture, and it is why the site answers procurement questions in public instead of reserving them for a sales call.

Impact

  • Each business line has its own explanation and its own entry point, instead of one generic catalogue.
  • Certifications, response times and shipping coverage are answered before contact, not during the first call.
  • Operations across the United States and Colombia are presented as one company, in the language of its market.

Technology

  • Astro
  • TypeScript

A supplier’s website is not a brochure. For a plant that has stopped, it is the fastest route to a person who can confirm a part exists — and the structure either shortens that route or gets in the way.
